Lawson's Delicatessen

This award winning delicatessen in Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast is owned and run by Richard Lawson and Claire Bruce-Clayton who have a simple philosophy – a friendly, welcoming shop with knowledgeable staff selling carefully sourced and delicious foodstuffs.









Richard and Claire made the decision to stock pieminister pies at their deli a fair few years ago now, and are still among our most loyal customers. Their shop is a haven for food lovers and is crammed with delicious and unusual products. They are careful to choose suppliers who take pride in what they do and hand make their produce.

We share their same ethics about food supply and production:

Staff at Lawsen's are both knowledgeable and passionate about food and actively encourage customers to try a taste or two of their favourite wares. This is just one of the many reasons they won the coveted Deli of the Year Award in 2010.

They were up against tough competition but managed to survive the rigorous judging process to be deemed the best deli out of the 400 other independent retailers nationwide.
