Wigan Kebab? Pie Barm? ...Slappy?

Updated: Oct 1

Call it what you like but we're calling our riff on the pie-based Lancashire delicacy The Brassic. Messy, moreish and massive, it’s a pie from our legendary line up slapped inside a soft white barm, along with mushy peas, cheddar crumb and crispy onions, then slathered or dipped in gravy.  Job done.

A steal at £14.50, The Brassic has landed in our restaurants in Bristol, Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham and it's here 'till the 11 November. So get to your nearest gaff fast because these bad boys are guaranteed to fly out faster than stolen goods from the back of *Vinnie’s van.

The Brassic is the sort of crazy genius you'd expect from a collab celebrating an epic close to an award-winning Sky Original Comedy of the same name.  Not your basic scran, this is the kind of big, messy carb-load that pie dreams are made of, and a fitting tribute to a gang of mates who've had the nation in stitches for six seasons of pure, unadulterated madness. And there's one more season to go!

There are lots of Brassic fans at Pieminister HQ and we reckon even **Cardi would shed a tear of pride if he tried this new addition to our Autumn menu. Every one of our award-winning pies works in a barm (who knew?!?) - just give the barm top a good thump before eating, to break the pie up a bit and meld the peas, cheese and crispy onions together.  Then grasp the whole thing tight and dip it in your gravy boat.  You have to trust the process – it's a bit chaotic, but that’s Brassic.

While you’re tucking in at Pieminister, use the on-menu QR code to try your luck with a digital scratch card for a chance to win free pies and more stuff on the spot.

not near a participating pie shop but love good pies and good telly?

And if you're wondering who *Vinnie and **Cardi are...

...you’re clearly not on board with the Brassic chaos yet, but believe us, you’re in for a treat because our Brassic pie feast isn't the only thing worth bingeing on. Brassic seasons 1-6 are ready to go on Sky and NOW, waiting for you to devour every episode. And season 7 episodes are dropping every Thursday 'till the 11 November.

So make sure you’re up to speed before the final curtain call, because you don't want to miss how this authentically northern tale wraps up.
